We dedicate whole industries to the destruction of human life. We finance it with our tax dollars, we look away from the awful effects that it wreaks on our families and our society.
Now, we seek a scientific solution so that we can create where we have destroyed human life. Minus our Creator, of course.
"The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only legitimate object of good government." Thomas Jefferson
God forgive our arrogance in this Culture of Death.

My heart goes out to those who want children so desperately, but like so many things that are disappointments to us, they are not to become reasons to act out of God's will. I know it is the current belief that we determine our own goals but if I"ve learned nothing else in my life, I've found that when I act on my own volition and without prayer for God's guidance, I invariably come to grief. There is a reason why God gives us sorrows and suffering and it is how we respond to these trials that determines our spiritual growth. Is our faith a sham that we only serve God when it suits our own purposes? This sort of research is just such mischief...and opens yet more doors to grief and rebellion. There are just too many children without homes or family. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God" when making such momentous decisions.

Before getting too excited let's remember how the world was scammed by the "discovery" of human zygotes in petri dishes by a certain South Korean researcher who later turned out a fraud. Let us also recall that the much-touted "Dolly the sheep" came only after hundreds of failed starts and died prematurely of multiple organ defects. Of course the mere attempt here is an a crime against Nature and Nature's God, even if nothing ever comes of it. Please God nothing will.

This lady cannot be serious. It boggles my mind that the Frankensteins of this age are all dressed in clean white lab coats, posing as "creators" and denying the primacy of God in life and death.

The late Joseph Mengele would be proud.

The amazing thing to me is that these Stanford "geniuses" cannot see the irony of their experimental abominations (or should that read "obamanations"). These "excess" IVF embryos are basically being recycled into the stuff for making new ones. Human life is nothing more than a commodity to these people. God help us!

Some English scientists are already mixing human embrios with animal embrio tissue. It kind of makes one wonder if the stories of centaurs are not true. Yes, Mengele would be proud. I wonder if the scientist above and the English ones are decended from people like him. Maybe it is in their "genes". Perhaps we should work on them to change their "genes".

I was, of course, joking in my last e-mail, but it would serve them right if someone like themselves got ahold of them.

If babies could be made like this would they even have a soul since they were not cteated by God, but by man in a petri dish? SCAAAARY STUFF!!!!!!

My comment that some English scientists ARE experimenting on human embrios with animal tissue was not a joke, though. It has been reported in English newspapers.

Do the scientists who are trying to clone people have souls? Or have they given them to the devil? There is indeed an unpardonable sin.

I have no problem using stem cells to research how to stimulate the body of infertile couples to produce gametes. What is questionable here is the source of the stem cells (e.g. excess embroyos from en vitro fertilization). If the research could be carried out with stem cells from the umbilical cord, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I have far too many connections to this one! I went to graduate school at Stanford (Engineering); my wife had trouble having children; and I was a bio-medical researcher! First, Stanford has been taken over by liberal nuts! Second, Yes, it is terrible to have trouble conceiving, but it is NOT the end of the world! There are SO many other medical areas that desperately need research money! It is ALL about selfishness that we put so much money into IVF, which should NOT be allowed, as it causes that death of MILLIONS of babies! Finally, the research community finally fell into the dishonesty and greed of the rest of our culture in the 80's! When I started in research, it was an honorable profession. Now, they'll do anything for money...SAD! If fact, I got out of the field because of the terrible greed! I actually had a manager that told me NOT to solve problems because "If you solve problems, the money goes away!" So, it was ALL about money to them, NOT improving the world! This was a HUGE change that is now the norm in research! They will do ANY worthless research as long as there is money to fund it! (Global warming is a great example! Man can NOT do anything to change it! The world has been warming since the last ice age, and man's contribution is meaningless! But, just as with the ozone fraud, the activists make HUGE money by promoting their latest "crisis".;..selling books, movies, etc.! It is ALL about greed and lies!) Researchers are no different than the rest of the population, and the profession has succumbed to the evils of the world! ALL professions need to change their culture back to one of honor! The remaining effects of the 60's need to be wiped out! This is our only hope! God's way is the only answer!

abqdad: Bingo !!! Not to mention that the easy solution to the healthcare problem is more doctors and not more govt -- it's the same sort of con game that you describe with other examples.
