From conception to natural death

Fifth Mexican state amends its constitution to protect the unborn

Mexico City, Mexico, March 16, 2009 (CNA) -- The legislature of the Mexican state of Puebla has approved a change to the state’s constitution granting protection to human life from conception to natural death. The move is intended to ward off efforts to legalize abortion throughout the country.

The change, led by the National Action Party (PAN), was approved by 29 votes out of 41, including votes by members of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), despite a commission of PRI federal lawmakers being sent to Puebla to try to stop the measure.

The Puebla state legislature decided to modify Article 26 of the state Constitution, obliging the state to protect human life from conception to natural death.

The leader of the left-leaning Party of the Democratic Revolution in Puebla, Irma Ramos Galindo, announced that the constitutionality of the measure would be challenged before the Mexican Supreme Court.

Puebla became the fifth of Mexico’s 31 states to move to protect life in the wake of the legalization of abortion in Mexico City and a Supreme Court decision finding the action did not violate the federal constitution.

Good. We see how some government entities remain faithful and support the obvious natural law.

Viva Mexico! What a difference in the way the Mexican beaurocracy thinks now when compared to the days of Calles and Obregon when all of the Catholic Churches were seized and closed by the Mexican government and priests and other religious were being shot daily. Deo gratias!

¡Arriba Mexico! All of these anti-clerical, Christophobic fascists must be stopped. We must defend the innocent. ¡Viva Cristo Rey!

Thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe, the Queen of las Americas, for protecting the Mexican people from the snares of the devil.

Some good news for a change. I pray She who crushes the head of the serpent (Guadalupe), crushes the dragon of abortion. See: Revelation (Apocalyse), chapters 11 and 12 in the New Testament.
